Empowering HEALTH CENTRES
Challenging Health Issues?
Health issues in general and particularly maternal and child health issues are a top priority for our organization. The population living in rural areas accounts for more than 60% of the country’s total population. The health structures in these so-called rural areas are neglected to the detriment of those in urban areas. As a result, the mortality rate is very high. This problem is linked to several aspects including the lack of health infrastructure or inaccessibility to health centres, the lack of medical equipment/materials, the lack of qualified personnel.
Our organization in the achievement of its objectives expects to equip the least equipped health centers with medical materials or equipment. This is to ensure that the local population has access to adequate health care. It also means reducing existing inequalities in terms of health between different areas. These allocations will be based on the real needs of the health centres, according to the realities of the areas in terms of diseases. Each request for endowment must be established by a competent person in the health center. Whenever PeFHED agrees to equip a health facility, a team will go on site to verify that the request is in line with reality.
